You are all invited this Sunday (25th of February) to play an Augmented Reality game as a pair, with one adult and one child per pair. Adults may be grandparents, parents, or other carers, and the game is best suited to children ages 5-11 years. The Augmented Reality game is a free app (with no ads) that can be downloaded to your phone; it is an educational and fun "treasure hunt" that involves finding illustrations of scenes from Alice in Wonderland by Salvador Dalí and associated music throughout Durham's Botanic Gardens. As thanks for participating, we offer a free hot drink in the Botanic Garden café.
This event marks the launch of a now permanent exhibit of the game in the Durham Botanical Garden. To read more about the research behind intergenerational play related to this game, see here.
